•With rosé wines booming, MillerCoors will launch Crispin Rosé cider nationwide on January 1. The 5% abv cider is a blend of apples and pears with rose petals and hibiscus. With Crispin Rosé, MillerCoors is aiming to engage wine drinkers and projects that 72% of the cider’s audience will be from outside of the beer category. The company will launch six-packs of 12-ounce bottles at the beginning of the New Year with Crispin Rosé on draft to follow in March. Crispin Rosé cider will be the eighth addition to the Crispin brand, which MillerCoors acquired in 2012.

•Former Delicato Family Vineyards chairman Vince Indelicato passed away December 17 at the age of 84. Indelicato began working in the family business founded by his father Gaspare at an early age. In 1960, he joined with his brothers Frank and Anthony to assume control of the company. In the 1970s and 80s the Indelicato brothers worked to bolster DFV’s business, acquiring San Bernabe Vineyard in Monterey in 1988, developing Clay Station Vineyard northeast of Lodi, expanding the family winery in Manteca and building an additional winery in San Bernabe. Today, DFV is led by Indelicato’s nephew Chris and sells approximately 10 million cases annually.
