•The Lyft ride-sharing service is teaming up with Chicago’s Baderbrau Brewing to market a new beer brand called Five Star Lager. It will be sold in 12-ounce cans in local bars and will feature a discount code for as much as $5 off a Lyft ride to the customer’s next stop. Baderbrau, which produced 3,500 barrels of beer last year, is counting on the Lyft program as well as some other joint ventures to double its production volume in 2018. San Francisco-based Lyft has been involved in beer marketing before: it teamed with Anheuser-Busch over the past two years to offer 150,000 Lyft rides on weekends in 10 states as part of a “safe ride” promotion offered on social media channels.
