Craft Brewing and Distilling News for January 23, 2018

January 23, 2018

•North American Breweries, the parent company of Genesee, Magic Hat and Pyramid Brewing Companies, has appointed Adrian Lachowski as its new CEO. Lachowski will transition to the new role from NAB’s parent company, Florida Ice & Farm Co., where he most recently served as general manager of the Central American beer and flavored malt beverage division. Lachowski steps in as NAB is undergoing a five-year expansion to increase brewing capacity (for its own brands and contract brewing) and decrease environmental impact.

•Bronx Brewery has announced that co-founder and co-president Chris Gallant will step back from day-to-day operations due to a family move to the West Coast, with co-president and head brewer Damian Brown assuming the role of president moving forward. Gallant will continue to hold an ownership stake and a seat on the company’s board. In other company news, Bronx Brewery has repackaged its full portfolio for a cleaner, more consistent look and launched a new rotating tier of brews called Up & Comers. The Up & Comers lineup will include both existing beers like Holy Mother of Citrus IPA and new offerings like Well Earned Pilsner. Bronx Brewery is also expanding its distribution footprint with entry into Pennsylvania beginning this month.
