•Pugilist Spirits’ Prizefight Irish Whiskey has launched in New York City and Boston. Created by Irish entrepreneur Flor Prendergast and Steven Grasse of Quaker City Mercantile, the new brand is a blend of 10-year-old malt and 4-year-old grain whiskies, all of which are distilled at West Cork Distillers prior to being aged in American rye barrels for six months. The whiskey is retail priced at $44 a 750-ml., and is currently available at select bars and retailers across New York City and Boston, as well as online through Warehouse Wines & Spirits.
•Santa Barbara, California’s Telegraph Brewing Company has debuted West Swell Juicy IPA, the brewer’s first new release since Utah-based Epic Brewing acquired the company in December. The 6.7%-abv IPA is brewed with Citra and Simcoe hops before being dry hopped with Centennial, Simcoe, and Citra hops. The beer is now available in 22-ounce bottles and on draft, with 12-ounce cans to follow in May.
