•Rutherford-based Provenance Vineyards, part of the Treasury Wine Estates portfolio, is launching a new Carneros Chardonnay. Retailing at $35 a 750-ml., the new entry is predominantly sourced from the Sangiacomo and Winery Lake vineyards, as well as other Carneros AVA vineyard sites. It will debut nationwide next month, joining Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec Rosé, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon offerings in the Provenance range. Meanwhile, Provenance has named David Galzignato as general manager and senior winemaker. Galzignato, who has served with Charles Krug, Lewis Cellars, and Paraduxx, was most recently winemaker for boutique winery Jada Vineyards in Paso Robles.
