Exclusive: The Winebow Group Bolsters Southern Hemisphere Lineup, Adding Negociants USA Portfolio

April 23, 2018

The Winebow Group is set to bring the Negociants USA organization under its umbrella. Negociants USA, the U.S. import and distribution arm of Australia’s Yalumba, has a portfolio comprised of a host of family-owned brands from Australia and New Zealand.

Negociants USA will now merge into The Winebow Group, retain its name, and become Winebow’s fourth national import division, alongside Leonardo LoCascio Selections, Craft + Estate, and Mundo Vino. Kathy Marlin, who’s been managing director of Negociants USA since 2012, will become senior vice president of the Negociants USA portfolio at The Winebow Group.

Within the Winebow Group, Negociants USA will house its own existing brands—including Yalumba, Henschke, Oxford Landing, Hill-Smith, and others—as well as other Southern Hemisphere brands formerly grouped under Winebow’s Craft + Estate banner, such as Klein Constantia, Madfish, Allan Scott, and Campbells.

The move to add Negociants USA comes as Winebow continues to grow both as a supplier and distributor. Its import portfolio is now at around 2 million cases, and, after a series of acquisitions in recent years, it has distribution operations in 22 U.S. markets and is projected to post wholesale revenues of $780 million this year, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter.—Daniel Marsteller
