•Diageo’s Johnnie Walker will team with HBO’s Game of Thrones to debut a “White Walker” Scotch whisky this fall. While details on the upcoming product are scant, Johnnie Walker teased the launch in a short video on social media in recent days. Game of Thrones is already present in the drinks space with a series of limited edition beers produced by Duvel Moortgat’s Brewery Ommegang.

•Bacardi Ltd.’s Grey Goose has launched Off Script, a new, nine-part digital series hosted by actor Jamie Foxx. Each episode features a film-centric conversation between Foxx and a fellow actor. Among those making appearances are Denzel Washington, Melissa McCarthy, and Vince Vaughn. Grey Goose first entered the creative content sphere with the television series “Iconoclasts of Taste,” launched in partnership with the Sundance Channel in 2013, and will “assume a true production role with full ownership over the creation and execution” of the new Jamie Foxx series, in an extension of the trend toward brands as content creators.

•Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (SGWS) has promoted John Wittig to the new role of chief transformation officer, effective July 1. Wittig—who will report to Southern Glazer’s CEO Wayne Chaplin and COO Brad Vassar—will be charged with creating opportunities for growth within the company’s existing business, as well as identifying untapped markets and product segments. He most recently served as president, East Region, and will be succeeded in that role by current executive vice president and general manager of SGWS of Florida Gene Sullivan. Sullivan’s replacement will be announced next month.
