•Today, Constellation Brands’ Ballast Point Brewing Company opens its 12,000-square-foot brewpub in Chicago’s Fulton Market District. The Ballast Point Tasting Room & Kitchen features 40-50 beers at a time, including specialty brews offered exclusively at the taproom. The menu will offer a mix of favorites from the craft brewer’s flagship San Diego brewpub alongside items tailored to Chicago like the Habanero Sculpin IPA Bratwurst. The facility can seat up to 250 guests and will be open for lunch and dinner daily. Constellation acquired Ballast Point for $1 billion in late 2015.

•Eugene, Oregon-based Ninkasi Brewing Company’s CEO, Cheryl Collins, is resigning effective June 18. Nikos Ridge, the brewery’s president and co-founder, will take over day-to-day operations as CEO going forward. Collins joined the Ninkasi team in 2012 as vice president of organizational development. She later advanced to the roles of chief people officer and chief operational officer before taking the helm as CEO in March 2017. Following her departure, Collins will serve as a consultant to the brewery to aid in the transition to new management. Last year, Ninkasi Brewing Company was the 38th-largest craft brewery in the U.S., according to the Brewers Association.
