Crown Royal Debuts New Texas Mesquite Flavor

Diageo’s Crown Royal Canadian whisky has launched a new Texas-inspired, limited-edition offering. Crown Royal Texas Mesquite features a blend of Crown Royal De Luxe with an infusion of smoky Texas mesquite wood flavor. Available starting this month, the 80-proof offering will be sold throughout Texas, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Nevada, and Tennessee, retail priced at around $25 a 750-ml. Crown Royal was up 5.2% to 6 million cases in the U.S. last year, including flavors, according to Impact Databank.—Christina Jelski
