Craft Brewing and Distilling News for June 6, 2018June 6, 2018
•Portland, Oregon’s Cascade Brewing will debut its barrel-aged sour beers in a new 500-ml. format on June 15, as it discontinues its 750-ml. format due to market demand. The shift from 750-ml. to 500-ml. is meant to provide consumers with a more affordable and convenient size for the releases, according to the brewer. Cascade will continue to sell the 750-ml. format until they’re sold out. Though the packaging is changing, Cascade’s barrel-aged sours will remain bottle conditioned and capped with a cork and cage. Cascade Apricot 2017 will be the first beer released in the new format.Subscribe to Shanken News Daily’s Email Newsletter, delivered to your inbox each morning.
