•Salt Lake City, Utah’s Squatters Craft Beers has released three summer seasonals. Chasing Tail Orange Golden Ale is a 5.2%-abv ale brewed with Celeia and Super Galena hops, and infused with navel orange for a slightly sweet brew, according to the brewer. Hop Rising Tropical DIPA is a 9%-abv fruity variant on the company’s original double IPA made with 8 varieties of hops. Finally, the brewery is relaunching Provo Girl, a 4%-abv Pilsner brewed with Hersbrucker hops. Squatters is a part of the CANarchy Collective, alongside Oskar Blues, Cigar City, Perrin, and Wasatch.

•118 + 1st, a new craft spirits company, has launched O.R.E. 118 gin, a Raw Vegan certified craft spirit. The 41%-abv gin is made from a base of distilled Chardonnay grapes with added juniper, black sesame seeds, green peppercorns, Kaffir lime, ginger, and orris root. In order to meet Raw Vegan labeling standards, the spirit is produced using vacuum distillation to keep the temperature below 118 degrees (the threshold at which many enzymes break down and the product cannot call be called raw). O.R.E. 118 gin is now available in New York City through Opici Family Distributing at a suggested retail price of $35 a 750-ml.

•Clarification: In Friday’s SND it was stated that interim Distilled Spirits Council president and CEO Clarkson Hine is expected to be named as the trade group’s permanent chief executive. The Distilled Spirits Council said no formal decision on the role has been made.
