•New York’s Southern Tier Distilling Co. has debuted a new line of canned craft cocktails. Made from the distillery’s own spirits and other all-natural ingredients, the new lineup includes the 10%-abv Bourbon Smash, a blend of straight Bourbon whiskey, lemon, ginger, and mint; the 8%-abv Vodka Madras, which features vodka, cranberry, orange, lime, and chamomile; and the 8%-abv Gin & Tonic, comprising gin, tonic, elderflower, cucumber, and lime zest. Southern Tier Distilling’s canned cocktails will be available across New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Ohio starting mid-August, retail priced at $15 a 4-pack of 12-ounce cans.

•Broken Shed Distilleries has recently added three new states to its U.S. distribution footprint. The company, which produces its namesake vodka in New Zealand, has partnered with Horizon Beverage Company to expand into Rhode Island and Massachusetts. In addition, Broken Shed is now available in Wisconsin through Badger Liquor. This expansion follows the April appointment of industry veteran Steve Bellini as EVP of business development and the March hiring of Jean-Marie Heins as CMO. Both Beillini and Heins were formerly with Mast-Jägermeister U.S.

•Vermont-based Eden Specialty Ciders is introducing a new Heritage cider in canned format. A blend of Gravenstein, McIntosh, Empire, Kingston Black, and Bulmer’s Norman apples grown in Vermont orchards, Eden’s Heritage cider is at 6.2% abv. The new entry retails at $16 a four-pack of cans, and is distributed across Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine, New Jersey, New York, Colorado, North Carolina, and South Carolina, with New Hampshire, Virginia, Maryland, D.C., and Illinois slated to be added soon.

•Plymouth, Massachusetts’ Mayflower Brewing Co. has released OttoBahn Helles-style lager. The 5%-abv beer is made in the classic German style with Tettnang and Hallertau hops plus Pilsner, Vienna, and Munich malts. The brew is now available on draft and in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans at the brewery’s taproom, with distribution throughout New England to follow.
