•Sonoma County’s Bear Republic Brewing Co. has introduced Thru The Haze India Pale Ale, an East Coast-style IPA. Made with Vic Secret, Citra, and Hallertau Blanc hops and 2-row, Pilsner, and wheat malts, Thru The Haze is at 6.4% abv. The new entry is rolling out in 6-packs and on draft beginning August 20. Bear Republic, known for its core Racer 5 IPA, is the 42nd-largest craft brewer nationwide, according to the Brewers Association. Founded in 1995, the company operates two brewpubs, in Healdsburg and Rohnert Park, California, respectively.

•Fort Collins, Colorado-based Odell Brewing has launched Cloud Catcher Milkshake IPA, the brewery’s newest special release. According to the brewer, the 6.8%-abv ale is hazy, fruit-forward, and creamy, and brewed with Galaxy, Cashmere, Azacca, and Citra hops. The beer is now available for a limited time in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans and on draft in Odell’s 18-state distribution footprint. Odell is the 22nd-largest craft brewer in the U.S., according to the Brewers Association.

•Richmond, California’s East Brother Beer Co. has debuted Pre-Prohibition Lager, the second release in the company’s seasonal lager series. The 5.5%-abv beer is brewed with ingredients available to early 20th century brewers like six-row barley, corn, and Cluster hops. East Brother Pre-Prohibition Lager is now available at the brewery’s taproom and in select locations in Northern California in 16-ounce cans and on draft.

•Austin, Texas-based craft cider maker Austin Eastciders is launching Austin Eastciders Spiced Cider, a limited release expression. The rollout is effective immediately, with the new offering becoming more widely available after Labor Day. Made with a mix of of spices including cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and ginger, Spiced Cider is slightly spicy with a smooth and sweet finish. Retailing at $9.99 a 6-pack, it’s available only this fall and winter. It joins an Eastciders lineup that includes Original Dry, Texas Honey, Hopped Cider, Blood Orange, Pineapple and Ruby Red Grapefruit. Founded in 2013, Austin Eastciders shipped over 500,000 cases last year. Its ciders are dry and contain about two-thirds less sugar than their sweeter competitors. The distribution footprint includes Oklahoma, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., New York, Tennessee, Virginia, and Maryland.
