•Kentucky’s Limestone Branch Distillery has announced the 2018 installment of Yellowstone Limited Edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The 50.5%-abv whiskey is finished in deeply charred barrels that matured both the 2016 and 2017 editions of the Bourbon. Only 12,000 bottles will be released for a suggested price of $100, available exclusively at the distillery. Luxco owns 50% of Limestone Branch Distillery.

•Shiner, Texas’ Spoetzl Brewery will launch Spoetzl Märzen, a new collaboration with Balcones Distilling, on October 1. The 11%-abv brew is made with Munich malt and hopped with Hallertau and Hersbrucker hops before being krausened (carbonated by adding fermenting malt wort) twice. Before bottling, the beer is matured in barrels that previously held Balcones single malt whisky. Spoetzl Märzen will retail for a suggested price of $15 a 750-ml. for a limited time. Spoetzl is part of The Gambrinus Company.
