•Charlottesville, Virginia-based Ragged Branch Distillery has introduced Wheated Straight Virginia Bourbon. Made with ingredients produced at the Ragged Branch farm, the new Bourbon’s mash consists of 66% corn, 17% wheat, and 17% malted barley. Wheated Straight Virginia Bourbon ($50 a 750-ml.) is bottled at 90 proof and is currently available at the Ragged Branch distillery, as well as across Ragged Branch’s distribution footprint, which includes Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Delaware, and Louisiana.

•Colorado’s Oskar Blues Brewery has re-released Death by Coconut Irish Porter. First launched in 2014 as a small-batch collaboration with Shamrock Brewing, Death by Coconut is brewed with Cholaca—a pure liquid cacao product made in Boulder—as well as raw coconut and Simpson’s Extra Dark Crystal malt. The 6.5% abv beer will be available nationwide in 4-packs of 12-ounce cans come early October. Oskar Blues is part of the Canarchy collective of craft brewers.
