•Denver, Colorado’s C Squared Ciders has introduced Dark Cider, a new fall and winter seasonal. The 6%-abv cider is medium dry with flavors of caramel and dark fruit and a bright tart acidity, according to the cidermaker. Dark Cider is rolling out now in limited quantities in Colorado and Minnesota. It’s available on draft, in 4-packs of 12-ounce bottles, and in a mixed variety 12-pack.

•Detroit, Michigan-based Atwater Brewery has debuted First Brown, a new beer that celebrates the beginning of the fall fishing season. The 6%-abv ale is brewed with traditional English hops and malts, for a low-bitterness beer that, according to the brewery, finishes dry and malty. The label was designed by artist Derek DeYoung and depicts a swimming brown trout. The beer is now available in Michigan in 12-ounce bottles with cans following next spring. A portion of all sales will benefit Trout Unlimited, a coldwater fishing preservation society.
