•Westlake, Texas’ Sanctified Spirits has released a new variant of its Oak & Eden whiskey range: Cabernet Steeped Oak.

The 45%-abv Bourbon is aged for two years and bottled with a 5-inch long piece of French oak that has been toasted and soaked in Texas Cabernet Sauvignon. The new entry is rolling out in limited supply in Texas and Oklahoma. Next year, Sanctified Spirits will launch in Louisiana and Colorado through a partnership with Republic National Distributing Company.

•Everett, Washington-based Bluewater Distilling has launched Wintersun Organic Aquavit. The 40%-abv spirit is distilled from organic grain and infused with caraway, aniseed, and orange peel. Wintersun is now available through Vinum Importing in 22 states and Washington D.C. in both the on-premise and at retail ($37). Bluewater contributes a portion of all sales to environmental conservation organization 1% for the Planet.

•St. Louis, Missouri’s Schlafly Beer is set to launch Merry Berry Ale, the brewer’s newest special release. The 6%-abv ale is brewed with blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries and has a light, refreshing profile, according to the brewer. The beer will be available throughout Schlafly’s 12-state distribution footprint on draft and in 6-packs of 12-ounce bottles for a suggested price of $10. Schlafly’s other special releases this year have included Double Bean Blonde, Coconut Crème Ale, and Pumpkin Ale.
