•Brewing giant FIFCO USA is developing Hemptails, a flavored malt beverage with hemp seeds, for a launch next February. Available in the flavors Hemp’d, Citrus Gold, and Passionfruit Express, the beverage is 8%-abv but non-psychoactive. It will be available nationwide in individual 23.5-ounce cans or four-packs of 16-ounce cans. FIFCO USA (formerly North American Breweries) owns Labatt, Pyramid, Genesee, Seagram’s Escapes, and Magic Hat, among others.

•Dogfish Head Brewery will release a collaboration with the website BeerAdvocate called Possibly the Next Top Rated Beer on BeerAdvocate at Boston’s Extreme Beer Fest on February 1. It’s a Double New England Maple Pastry Black Coffee Milkshake IPA and is roughly 10% abv. This is the 11th time the website and brewery have teamed up for the event, of which Dogfish Head has been the presenting sponsor since 2009. Delaware-based Dogfish Head is present in 44 states, and was the 12th-largest craft brewer in the U.S. last year, according to the Brewers Association.
