•Brooklyn Brewery is set to expand distribution to California. Beginning next week, Brooklyn Lager, Defender IPA, and Bel Air Sour will be available on draft and in 6-packs throughout the state, distributed by Stone Distributing in Southern California and by DBI and Bay Area Beverage Co. in Northern California. Additional seasonal and limited releases will make the journey West eventually as well. Brooklyn Brewery’s U.S. distribution footprint spans 30 states.

•Escondido, California’s Arrogant Consortia has teamed up with metal pioneers Metallica to create Enter Night Pilsner. The 5.7%-abv beer is hop forward and, according to the brewery, a blend of the classic European Pilsner style and a more aggressive American brew. The beer, named for a line from Metallica’s 1991 hit “Enter Sandman,” launched during the band’s previous tour and will roll out across the U.S. on draft and in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans during the first quarter of 2019. Arrogant Consortia is fully owned by Stone Brewing.
