Delicato Fully Integrates V2 Brands, Forms Fine Wine Division
January 23, 2019Two years after taking a significant stake in V2 Wine Group, Delicato Family Wines has formed a new fine wine division to integrate V2’s brands.V2 founders Dan and Katy Leese will stay on “to support the integration of agency brands” into the Delicato portfolio, and V2 LLC remains jointly held by Delicato and the Leeses.
Delicato will now have two separate selling divisions. The new fine wine division, Transcendent Wines, will include Delicato brands like Black Stallion Limited Release and Diora Wines, as well as luxury agency brands Merryvale, Starmont, Profile, Forward Kidd, Dobbes Family Estate Wines, and Wine by Joe. Transcendent Wines will also represent imports such as Schloss Vollrads, Franz Keller, and Bischöfliche Weingüter, Santa Rita’s Casa Real and Triple C, and Torbreck Vintners.
The separate Delicato Wines portfolio will house Bota Box, Noble Vines, Gnarly Head, Z. Alexander Brown, Black Stallion, 1924, Three Finger Jack, Toad Hollow, Mercer Family Wines, and imports Santa Rita 120 and Schmitt Söhne. In line with the changes, Delicato has rebranded from Delicato Family Vineyards to Delicato Family Wines. Overall, the company has volume of about 10 million cases annually.—Daniel Marsteller
