•Hood River, Oregon-based Full Sail Brewing has joined in the low-calorie beer trend, launching a new Session Light offering. Brewed with Glacier and Sterling hops, it contains 100 calories and 6 carbs and is at 3.6% abv. Distribution to major markets across the country will begin in March, when 6-packs of 12-ounce slim cans will retail for $8.

•Tampa, Florida’s Cigar City Brewing is expanding distribution this month into Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, to complete its New England footprint. Building on a presence in Massachusetts established last year, Cigar City has partnered with Sheehan Family Companies to distribute in Vermont and New Hampshire. In Maine, Westbrook’s Craft Beer Guild Distributing will handle Cigar City’s brews. Known for the popular Jai Alai IPA, Cigar City distributes to an additional 24 states, mostly along the East Coast, and Western Europe.

•Backbone Bourbon Co. has released a 14-year-old Single Grain Scotch called Auld Blow-In. The whisky was distilled at the historic Port Dundas distillery in Glasgow, Scotland. Auld Blow-In (blow-in is a nickname for an out-of-towner) was bottled at 55% abv and is rolling out to select markets at $75 a bottle. Auld Blow-In is billed as a richer, sweeter style of Scotch with a touch of complexity coming through its age. Backbone Bourbon also markets Old Bones 10-year Reserve Bourbon, Uncut Bourbon, Prime Blended Bourbon, Bone Snapper X-Ray 4-year Rye, and Bone Snapper Rye.
