•Indiana distiller MGP Ingredients is adding to its branded whiskey range with Eight & Sand blended Bourbon. A blend of Bourbon and American whiskies, Eight & Sand’s brand name is an homage to the American railroad, referring to the fastest notch on a train’s throttle—the eighth—and the sand used on wheels to prevent slippage. The new expression is currently rolling out across Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Montana, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas, and Wisconsin, retail priced at $30 a 750-ml.

•Following its December acquisition of 19 brands from Diageo, Sazerac has partnered with Breakthru Beverage and Republic National Distributing Company to distribute the new acquisitions in 13 markets across the U.S. Breakthru, which previously handled the 19 ex-Diageo brands in these markets, will be responsible for Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, and Washington D.C., expanding its existing partnership with Sazerac in those states. RNDC will now be responsible for distribution efforts on the same brands in Colorado, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, and South Carolina.
