•Asheville, North Carolina-based Hi-Wire Brewing has released Salted Maple 10W-40 Imperial Stout (8% abv). Brewed with maple syrup and chocolate, the brew is being distributed in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans. Later this month, Hi-Wire will release two more offerings: Dortmunder Export Lager (5.7% abv) on March 22, followed by Hazy & Juicy & Hoppy & Fresh with Mosaic and Citra (7.5% abv) on March 29. Hi-Wire operates two brewing facilities and taprooms in Asheville and opened an additional taproom in Durham, North Carolina last fall. The company distributes throughout the South.

•Portland, Oregon-based Little Beast Brewing has unveiled two new beers: Wild Island Hazy Brett Double IPA and a “wild crafted” mixed-culture ale called Rhus Jus. Made in collaboration with Moksa Brewing in Rocklin, California, Wild Island clocks in at 8.9% abv and is Little Beast’s first hazy IPA and first canned beer. It will be in limited release throughout Little Beast’s distribution area in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans. Rhus Jus, which is a sour ale made with numerous local botanicals, is now on draft at Little Beast’s pub and in limited quantities of 375-ml. bottles. It has aged nine months but will continue to develop for the next three years.
