March 26, 2019•San Diego-based Ballast Point Brewing Co. has released a new Ballast Point lager nationwide. At 4.2% abv and containing 99 calories, the beer is made with Apollo hops from Washington State and water that was filtered through a reverse-osmosis process. Available now in 6- and 12-packs of 12-ounce cans as well as 19-ounce individual cans, Ballast Point Lager is part of the brewery’s Discovery series. Ballast Point is part of the Constellation Brands portfolio.
•Delaware craft brewer Dogfish Head will launch SuperEight, a new sessionable ale, nationwide in early April. The 5.3% abv gose is made with prickly pear, mango, boysenberry, blackberry, raspberry, elderberry, kiwi juices, quinoa, and sea salt. According to the brewery, SuperEight was inspired by the success of its SeaQuench Ale and aims to tap into consumer desire for approachable sour beers. SuperEight will be available across the U.S. in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans.
