•Bluewater Organic Distilling, a sustainability-focused small batch producer based in Everett, Washington, has partnered with Columbia Distributing in Washington and Oregon, effective earlier this month. The partnership is expected to significantly increase Bluewater’s presence in both on- and off-premise accounts. Bluewater produces an eponymous organic vodka, Halcyon Organic Gin, and Wintersun Organic Aquavit, all copper pot distilled in small batches. The company was founded in 2008. Columbia Distributing, known as a beer distributor, has been branching into wine and spirits recently, most notably taking on the Constellation Brands portfolio last year.

•California-based Three Weavers Brewing is introducing Sun Trap, billed as a “gluten-reduced session sour.” Launching on draft and in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans, the 4.5% abv brew is soured with lactobacillus and fermented with passion fruit puree. It will be handled by Stone Distributing in Southern California, with Northern California distribution to follow. Three Weavers’ core beers include Deep Roots ESB, Midnight Flight Imperial Stout, Expatriate West Coast IPA, Stateside Session IPA, and Seafarer Kolsch.
