June 7, 2019•Brooklyn, New York’s Kings County Distillery has launched its whiskies in 750-ml. bottles for the first time. The new format is rolling out now in the New York tri-state area and will be available nationally by fall 2019. The company’s 750-ml. bottles will retail for $69-$75. In addition to launching a larger format for its whiskies, Kings County Distillery has added a new 1,350 gallon still that will allow the distillery to increase its production capacity fivefold over the next few years.
•Angry Orchard has introduced its newest line extension, Spritz Rosé, in select markets across the U.S. The 4% abv cider is made with red-flesh apples and is light, crisp, and floral, according brand-owner Boston Beer Company. Angry Orchard Spritz Rosé is now available in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans in New Jersey; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Massachusetts; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Including beer, malt-based RTDs, and cider, Boston Beer’s volume in calendar 2018 was 4.29 million barrels, up 17% from the previous year.
