•Crown Royal has unveiled the latest offering in its Noble Collection, French Oak Cask Finished. The fourth installment in the Noble Collection, the limited-edition Canadian whisky is finished in French oak casks from the Vosges region. The 40% abv whisky is rolling out nationwide in limited quantities, retailing at $60 a 750-ml. Diageo-owned Crown Royal was up 4.6% to 6.3 million cases in the U.S. last year (including flavors), according to Impact Databank.
•Fetzer Vineyards has released three wines from Bonterra in 250-ml. cans for the first time. The company has canned its Sauvignon Blanc and rosé, and released a new blend called Bonterra Young Red. All three wines are made with organic grapes and are suggested to be served chilled. The three wines are available nationwide in 4-packs of 250-ml. cans for a suggested price of $20. Last year, Bonterra was at 419,000 cases, according to Impact Databank.
•Legend Vineyard Exclusives (LVE), a wine collaboration between the Boisset Collection’s Raymond Vineyards and musician John Legend, has added a new French sparkling rosé to its lineup. LVE Sparkling Rosé ($20 a 750-ml.) is the sixth wine in the LVE portfolio and the second rosé, following a still rosé from Côtes de Provence (also $25). It joins LVE Chardonnay ($45), LVE Cabernet Sauvignon ($85), and LVE Red ($50), among others. The LVE collection is distributed nationwide.
•Sonoma County-based Purple Wine + Spirits has launched three whiskies under its Redwood Empire label. The brand’s lineup now includes Pipe Dream Bourbon, a blend of whiskies that are 4-12 years old; Emerald Giant Rye whiskey, which features rye aged 3-5 years; and Lost Monarch, comprising 3-5-year-old rye and 4-12-year-old Bourbon. All Redwood Empire whiskies are retail priced at $44 a 750-ml.
