Diageo’s Bulleit Distilling Co. is set to open its new visitor experience to the public on June 25.
A little over 30 miles from downtown Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky, the $10 million, 12,000-square-foot visitor experience at the brand’s Shelbyville distillery will become part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. The new facility, initially open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30am to 3:30pm, includes a cocktail bar, a “multi-sensory tasting experience,” and a Bulleit Studio were guests can use a touchscreen drafting table to design a customized Bulleit label to apply to their own bottle, among other features. Guided tours with Bulleit tastings cost $20. In all, Diageo has invested $150 million in its Kentucky operations over the past five years.
