•Constellation Brands has launched Crafters Union canned wines and will promote the brand through a new partnership with the NFL. The canned line currently has three releases—a Pinot Grigio, a red blend, and a rosé—but Constellation is leaving the door open to adding other varietals moving forward. On Constellation’s most recent earnings call, CEO Bill Newlands noted that brands beyond Crafters Union, like Kim Crawford, might receive single-serving cans in the future.

•Pernod Ricard has updated the packaging for its Redbreast Irish whiskey brand. The new look includes a new robin redbreast design, as well as tasting notes on the front label, tactile embossing on the bottle, and a vibrant color palette to distinguish each expression. Redbreast 12 Year Old, Redbreast 15 Year Old, and Redbreast Lustau will be available in the new packaging this month. It will be introduced to Redbreast 21 Year Old and Redbreast 12 Cask Strength this fall.

•Sonoma, California-based Walt Wines has opened a new tasting room in downtown Napa’s Oxbow District. The new, 1,500-square-foot site, Walt Napa Oxbow, offers four tasting menus for guests, ranging from the Current Release Tasting ($30 per person) to Root 101 ($60 per person), a wine-and-food pairing that features six single vineyard Pinot Noirs and food from local restaurant Carpe Diem. Walt Napa Oxbow is the winery’s second tasting room, with the original site located in Sonoma Square, Sonoma.
