•Firestone Walker is launching Old Man Hattan, a barrel-aged beer billed as a mash-up of the Old Fashioned and Manhattan cocktails. Old Man Hattan’s base is a blend of Firestone Walker component beers including Velvet Merkin, Bravo, and Stickee Monkee aged in whiskey barrels. That blend is then combined with select lots of its Parabola and Helldorado brews that were aged in barrels previously used to mature cherry, orange, and aromatic bitters. Old Man Hattan (10.5% abv) is rolling out to all Firestone Walker markets this week in individually boxed 12-ounce bottles.

•Cooperstown, New York-based Brewery Ommegang has announced its 15th and final Game of Thrones inspired beer, My Watch Has Ended, set to launch this fall. The 8% abv Imperial Brown Ale is made with two-row malt, oat flakes, and chocolate malt, plus maple syrup, fenugreek, and Hallertau Magnum and Styrian Golding hops. My Watch Has Ended will be available on draft and in 750-ml. bottles throughout Ommegang’s distribution footprint. Ommegang is part of Duvel Moortgat, the fifth-largest craft brewing company in the U.S., according to the Brewers Association.
