•Boulder, Colorado-based Avery Brewing is releasing Rocky Mountain Rosé. The new entry is a beer/wine hybrid—a rosé ale made by fermenting both malted barley and wine grapes. The vibrant pink beverage is 4.4% abv and will be distributed nationally in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans beginning July 26. Rocky Mountain Rosé is a permanent addition to Avery’s lineup, which also includes other fruit-forward offerings like the pomegranate and blueberry sour Forbidden Fruit (7% abv) and Grapefruit Shandy (4.7% abv) among more traditional brews.

•Upstate New York-based Ithaca Beer Co. is introducing a new double IPA under its Big Hoppy Family series. Aunt Lupey Double IPA is at 7.5% abv and is made with 2-Row Pale malt, oats, wheat, and honey. Its hop profile includes Mosaic, Ekuanot, Simcoe, Citra, and Galaxy, as well as an experimental variety called #06300. The double dry-hopped brew follows Mr. Sticky and Uncle Buzzy in the Big Hoppy Family series. Aunt Lupey is rolling out in October in four-packs of 16-ounce cans and on draft.
