•Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) has announced four new leadership appointments. Tom White, most recently region president east, has been named executive vice president of strategy and integration. Assuming White’s former role is Mark Moser, who’s been with RNDC since 1990 and has held leadership roles in Georgia, New Mexico, and other markets. As region president east, he will add responsibility for RNDC Florida, Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, and Washington, D.C. Joe Gigliotti, also a regional president, is seeing his purview expand as well, adding RNDC Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming to his stable. Finally, Taylor Sommer has been named regional president of RNDC Texas, Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. All four report to Bob Hendrickson, COO.
•Jaja Spirits has launched a new Añejo Tequila in select markets ahead of a national push early next year. The new release is matured in American whiskey barrels for two years and, like all Jaja releases, is made from 100% blue agave. The initial rollout will bring the new label to the brand’s strongest markets: New York, California, Nevada, Illinois, and Florida. Jaja Añejo will be available at retail for around $53 a 750-ml. Jaja Spirits is imported by Shaw-Ross International.
•McCormick Distilling Co. has expanded its partnership with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (SGWS) to a total of 11 states. New moves include joining the SGWS portfolio in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota, as well as consolidating with SGWS in Missouri and Iowa.
