•Comstock Park, Michigan-based Perrin Brewing Company has launched its 2019 Barrel-Aged Specialty Pack. The set features two 22-ounce bottles of the 2019 vintages of Perrin’s Malted Milk Ball and Perrin Reserve, plus a glass exclusive to the pack. This year’s Malted Milk Ball Imperial Porter comes in at 12% abv and was aged in ex-Bourbon barrels for nine months. Perrin Brewing Reserve is a Russian Imperial Stout that was made with honey and caramelized lactose sugar before aging in Bourbon barrels with raisins. It’s bottled at 12.8% abv. Perrin Brewing Barrel-Aged Specialty Pack is now available at the company’s brewery and in select locations throughout Michigan.

•Salt Lake City, Utah’s Squatters Craft Beers has debuted Brilliant Bier German Style Pilsner. The 5% abv lager is brewed with sweet malt and Noble German hops in a tribute to the historic style. The release coincides with Utah raising the maximum abv for beer in grocery retail from 4% to 5%. The brew is now available in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans and on draft throughout the brewery’s 20-state distribution footprint. In addition to launching Brilliant, Squatters will also bump the abv for its Juicy IPA, American Wheat Hefeweizen, Chasing Tail Golden Ale, and Full Suspension Pale Ale up to 5%.
