November 7, 2019•Duke Spirits and Owensboro, Kentucky’s O.Z. Tyler Distillery have announced the Duke Tasting Room and John Wayne Experience, a new tourism facility centered around the iconic American actor. The facility, located at O.Z. Tyler, will open in April, featuring information about the distilling process and tastings of Duke Spirits’ Bourbon and rye alongside memorabilia from John Wayne’s life and acting career. The O.Z. Tyler Distillery is owned by the Terressentia Company and produces roughly 90,000 barrels per year.
•Madison, Wisconsin-based Plain Spoke Cocktail Co. has debuted its newest canned cocktail, Brandy Old Fashioned. The 10% abv RTD is made from California-sourced brandy aged between 24 and 30 months, lemon-lime seltzer, Bittercube Trinity bitters, and cane sugar. Brandy Old Fashioned is rolling out now to retailers in Wisconsin and Minnesota, and joins Moscow Mule, Bourbon Smash, and Mojito in the Plain Spoke portfolio. Plain Spoke’s cocktails retail for around $13 a 4-pack.
