•In case you missed yesterday’s news alert, Japan’s Kirin has agreed to acquire Colorado-based craft beer pioneer New Belgium Brewing for an undisclosed sum. The sale is set to close before year-end. Here’s the full story.

•Founders Brewing is bringing back Frangelic Mountain Brown. Last brewed in 2012, the coffee brown ale will return to the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based brewery’s lineup next month. At 9% abv, Frangelic will be retail priced at $10 a 4-pack and will be available in 12-ounce bottles and on draft beginning December 6 at the Grand Rapids taproom. Later in the month it will roll out to Founders’ entire distribution network, available through March. Spain’s Mahou San Migel recently agreed to up its stake in Founders to 90%, with the deal taking effect in January.
