•Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based Allegheny Distilling will release a Sherry cask-aged expression of its Maggie’s Farm Rum. The new entry was aged three years in ex-rum casks and finished in Oloroso sherry butts. At 43% abv, it will debut in Pennsylvania on Black Friday, November 29, retailing at $50 a 750-ml. The extension will launch across Allegheny’s distribution network in early 2020. Allegheny began distilling Maggie’s Farm in 2013 and opened its cocktail bar in early 2014.

•Los Angeles, California’s Wolves Whiskey has launched a new limited edition, Winter Run. The 52% abv offering is a blend of 8-year-old whiskey distilled from stout beer, 5-year-old whiskey distilled from a Pilsner, a rye of undisclosed age, and a 9-year-old single malt. All but the rye were distilled by Marko Karakasevic, master distiller at Charbay Distillery. The batch of 1,338 bottles is available on the brand’s website at $185 a 750-ml. Wolves is collaboration between sneaker impresarios James Bond and Jon Buscemi.

•Massachusetts Bay Brewing Company has introduced Cider Spritz, a new offering from its City Roots brand. The 4.3% abv cider is meant to bring together dry cider and hard seltzer by fermenting fresh-pressed apple juice with wine yeast. The release clocks in at 97 calories per serving and has one gram of sugar. This new label is part of the brand’s year-round portfolio and will roll out throughout the company’s distribution footprint the first week of December.
