•Diageo has partnered with HBO to introduce Tres Comas, a new añejo Tequila tying in with Silicon Valley character Russ Hanneman. Billed as “the billionaire’s Tequila” in a nod to Hanneman’s character on the Silicon Valley series, Tres Comas is a 100% blue agave Tequila aged in American oak barrels for one year. The limited edition offering is now rolling out nationally, retail priced at $45 a 750-ml.

•Industry veteran Steve Luttmann, founder of the Leblon Cachaça brand now owned by Bacardi, has teamed up with Flaviar to create Hercules Mulligan, a blend of Caribbean rum and American rye whiskey. The 43% abv spirit is a 50-50 blend of rum and rye with ginger root and bitters. Hercules Mulligan is named for an unsung Revolutionary War hero and pays tribute to two of the more popular spirits in early America. The initial launch will be 2,000 bottles, first available to Flaviar subscribers and customers ahead of a wider release in early December. Hercules Mulligan retails at $38 a 750-ml.
