BevMo Names Josiah Knutsen As President And CEO

West Coast retail chain BevMo has appointed Josiah Knutsen as its new chief executive, effective immediately. Knutsen replaces Dimitri Haloulos, who served as CEO for the past four years.

Knutsen joined BevMo in 2018 as senior vice president of merchandising. Prior to that he spent 17 years at Safeway and the Albertsons Companies, where he eventually became senior vice president of marketing and merchandising for the Northern California division, with direct profit and loss responsibility for nearly 300 stores.

BevMo concurrently announced that chief accounting officer and acting CFO, Denise Rowan, has been named chief financial officer, effective Dec. 30.

BevMo, which is part of the portfolio of Towerbrook Capital Partners, has nearly 170 stores located throughout California, Arizona and Washington. —Daniel Marsteller
