•Baltimore-based Heavy Seas Beer is releasing Dry January, a hazy IPA. The brewery’s first release of 2020, the 10% abv IPA is brewed with Amarillo, Idaho 7, Mosaic, El Dorado, and Citra hops, as well as açai and pomegranate. It will be available exclusively at the Heavy Seas Taproom on January 17 in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans and on draft. Heavy Seas Beer was founded as Clipper City Brewing Co. in 1994.

•Cincinnati-based Fifty West Brewing Co. is launching Quencher, an electrolyte-enhanced beer. Available at Kroger locations in the greater Cincinnati market next week, Quencher is a 4.1% abv gluten-reduced beer that contains 100 calories and the addition of electrolytes for athletic recovery. Fifty West is launching Quencher in conjunction with the second year of its 17-week marathon training program, inspired by the profound effect running has had on founder and president Bobby Slattery. The brewery opened in 2012.
