•Dennis Peek has been named CEO of Heineken subsidiary Lagunitas Brewing. He replaces Maria Stipp, who has led the craft brewer for five years. Peek was most recently managing director of Heineken Canada. Heineken acquired a 50% stake in the California-based brewer in 2015, taking full control two years later. Known for its namesake IPA, Lagunitas has restructured with two rounds of layoffs in the past year and a half, as the company adapts to slower growth in the craft beer category.

•Crested Butte, Colorado-based craft rum distillery Montanya Distillers has named Rob Richardson as national head of sales for its rum portfolio. Richardson joins Montanya after a 22-year tenure at Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) where he most recently was vice president of artisan spirits sales for Texas and before that vice president of spirits sales in Colorado. At Montanya, Richardson will focus initially on sales and distribution in Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Texas, and California before looking to expand the brand to other key markets nationally. Richardson will stay with RNDC through the end of March before joining Montanya, in which Constellation Brands holds a minority stake.
