Craft Brewing and Distilling News for March 20, 2020

March 20, 2020

•The New York State Brewers Association has announced that breweries throughout the state will be allowed to offer curbside pickup and delivery through at least April 15. According to the association, craft beer in New York employs 20,000 people and generates $5.4 billion, both of which are in jeopardy if breweries are unable to adapt to the on-premise closures and social distancing rules encouraged by the state. Deliveries must be handled by brewery employees or other licensed alcohol carriers. The NYS Brewers Association has also updated its app to provide consumers information about which breweries are offering these services.
