•Republic National Distributing Co. (RNDC) has announced a $500,000 donation to the United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) COVID-19 Relief Campaign. The gift matches that of RNDC partner Pernod Ricard USA. The companies noted that USBG members continue to be severely impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, with the on-premise market shut down across a majority of states. RNDC handles Pernod Ricard spirits in a total of nine markets, and its wines and Champagnes across 12 markets.

•Distilleries release new whiskies all the time, but rarely does a single producer debut multiple products at once. Old Elk is taking that route, however, launching new expressions of straight rye, wheat whiskey, and wheated bourbon across the country. These aren’t limited-edition whiskeys either; they’re permanent additions to the lineup, with ample availability to satisfy drinker demand. Whisky Advocate has the full story.

•Lux Row Distillers-owned Blood Oath Bourbon has announced the release of Blood Oath Pact No. 6, the latest release in the Blood Oath series. Created by head distiller and master blender John Rempe, Blood Oath Pact No. 6 ($100) is a 49.3%-abv blend of three Bourbons: a 14-year ryed Bourbon, an 8-year-old, and a 7-year ryed Bourbon rested in Cognac casks. In keeping with previous Blood Oath releases, Pact No. 6 is a limited edition, with 17,000 cases available globally. The Blood Oath series first launched in 2015.
