June 15, 2020

•New York state craft brewers are beginning to re-open for visitors, as five regions across the state have entered phase three of New York’s Covid-19 pandemic plan. As of last Friday, the Central New York, Finger Lakes, Mohawk Valley, North Country, and Southern Tier regions all met the state guidelines for phase three, and brewers in those areas are able to welcome guests. The state’s guidelines call for 50% indoor seating capacity, six feet between outdoor tables, and for guests to stay six feet away from other parties. Additionally, employees are required to wear masks and customers must, too, except while seated.

•Munster, Indiana-based Three Floyds Distilling has entered a distribution partnership with Maverick Wine Company for the state of Illinois. Initially, Maverick will distribute three of the distillery’s products—Divine Rite White Whisky ($40), White VVitch Midwestern Gin ($70), and Busthedd Aquavit ($70). In addition to the three spirits entering distribution, distiller Abby Titcomb and her team also produce rum, aged whiskey, and a London Dry gin. Three Floyds’ spirits and beer are also available for curbside pickup from the company.
