•Hollywood star Cameron Diaz and entrepreneur Katherine Power have announced Avaline, a new line of organic wines. The first releases from the brand are a Spanish white wine that clocks in at 11.5% abv and a French rosé at 13%. The goal of the brand, according to the company, is to bring high-quality vegan-friendly wines made from organic grapes while limiting the use of additives. The pair are available in select retailers in 43 states and Washington, D.C. for $24 a 750-ml. Avaline is distributed by RNDC-Young’s across its footprint, Winebow in the Northeast and upper Midwest, and Horizon in New England, as well as on Wine.com.

•Sonoma County-based Benovia winery has introduced Courageous Care Pinot Noir, a new bottling that honors those fighting Covid-19 and will raise funds for groups like Feeding America and Direct Relief. Retailing at $40, Courageous Care is a blend of fruit from two of Benovia’s Russian River Valley vineyards. A percentage of proceeds from every purchase will go to Feeding America, a national network of food banks, and Direct Relief, which provides personal protective equipment to medical teams.

•Bowling Green, Kentucky-based Western Spirits has appointed Wade McKasson as vice president of international sales. McKasson has been with Western Spirits for a decade, most recently serving as vice president of sales, U.S. spirits division. Dorian Sowell will replace McKasson in his previous post. Sowell was formerly vice president of sales, central division. Western Spirits produces Bird Dog Whiskey, Calumet Farm Bourbon Whiskey, Sam Houston Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Twenty Grand Vodka, and Lexington Bourbon.
