•Spirits advisory group Harris & Simms, led by former Combs Enterprises executives Dia Simms and Erin Harris, has taken an undisclosed stake in Austin, Texas-based Saint Liberty Whiskey. Financial terms weren’t revealed. Saint Liberty, founded by Mark SoRelle, celebrates Prohibition-era women bootleggers, with each whiskey proofed and bottled in the state where the bootlegger resided, using the same water source they would have used 100 years ago. The first offering, Bertie’s Bear Gulch Bourbon Whiskey, honors African American homesteader Bertie “Birdie” Brown. The 87-proof Bourbon retails at $45 a 750-ml. and is distributed across 10 states.

•Austin, Texas-based Sourced Craft Cocktails announced a new menu of offerings for their cocktail home delivery service. New summer choices include Strawberry Whiskey Smash, made with Uncle Nearest Whiskey; Rhythm and Blueberries, using Oakheart Spiced Rum; and Spicy Margarita, featuring Avion Tequila. Each order includes a 750-ml. bottle of the spirit in question, mixer for 12 cocktails, a jigger, and cups. The new Spirit of Summer package features Los Vecinos Espadin Mezcal in the Smoke & Fire Margarita, Smokey Old Fashioned, and Hibiscus Cooler. All these spirits and others are also part of the Pick & Mix option that offers a spirit and three cocktail mixes. Sourced is expanding into Washington, D.C. and Chicago, joining New York City, Dallas, Austin, San Francisco, and Los Angeles in its footprint.
