•Canopy Growth has launched a new website to serve as its digital storefront for U.S. sales. ShopCanopy.com will be the online home for the CBD product lines available stateside from the Canadian operator. The site will initially stock more than 25 SKUs across a number of Canopy’s brands including First & Free, This Works, and BioSteel. New brands will be added over time, including a CBD brand by Martha Stewart, who partnered with Canopy Growth last year.
•Aurora Cannabis will lay off a quarter of its employees in Europe and close its offices in Portugal, Spain, and Italy. The Canadian operator will refocus its European cannabis production to a facility in Denmark and increase its ownership stake from 49% to 100%. International sales totaled only C$4 million ($3m) in Aurora’s most recent quarter.
•Cannabis emulsion technology company Vertosa has added a number of new partnerships in recent days. Vertosa is now working with Artet, a cannabis aperitif brand available in California. Vertosa has added two other beverage brands as partners, Rhythm CBD Seltzers and Wunder, a line of sparkling cannabis beverages that notably contain the novel cannabinoid Delta-8 THC. Luxury CBD brand Molly Jones has also joined, with Vertosa providing emulsion for its high-dose CBD gumdrops.
