•Warner Henry, founder of California distributor The Henry Wine Group, passed away August 1 at the age of 82. Born in Los Angeles, Henry founded his namesake importer, distributor, and broker in 1985 with a focus on quality-oriented family-owned producers. As the business grew, he became known for safeguarding quality with measures like refrigerated warehouses and delivery trucks, as well as employee wine education and training programs, eventually building the company into a key player in California’s fine wine market. Winebow acquired The Henry Wine Group in 2016 for an undisclosed sum.

•Wilson Daniels has made three new appointments to its national accounts team. Chris Pedersen will lead national accounts in the Western region. He previously managed Young’s Market Co.’s 10-state corporate hotel business. Tom Galli will drive national accounts in the East, having previously served with Banfi, Santa Margherita, and Deutsch Family. Brian Phillips will helm Wilson Daniels’ national accounts division for the central U.S. He was most recently director of beverage for Darden.
