Fleur de Miraval will be composed of 75% Chardonnay and 25% young Pinot Noir; the sparkler was aged for three years on the lees. Only 20,000 bottles of the new Champagne were produced for the first release.
•Jackson Family Wines’ Kendall-Jackson has teamed with United Way Worldwide to create the Grocery Worker’s Relief Fund. The winery is making an initial donation of $200,000 and is committed to donating $2 million by 2030. The fund will raise and disperse funds, primarily through cash cards, to grocery workers struggling amid the Covid-19 pandemic and, looking forward, respond to other challenges facing these essential workers. Any grocery employee can apply for emergency funds, which will be allocated based on need and availability. Workers can apply for relief beginning October 1, 2020 on the fund’s website, which will also accept donations to the fund.Subscribe to Shanken News Daily’s Email Newsletter, delivered to your inbox each morning.
