•Buffalo Trace O.F.C. 1995, Kentucky Owl’s Last Rye, and newcomers from Craigellachie, Westward, and Loch Lomond are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup. The magazine’s website has all the details.

•Ardbeg single malt Scotch is extending its core range at the high end with a 25-year-old expression. Bottled at 46% abv, the newcomer is presented in a gun metal bottle encased in an intricate metal cage. It will roll out globally in January, retailing at $850 a bottle. Part of the Moët Hennessy portfolio, Ardbeg was up 14% to 27,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.

•SPI Group has named Bodegas La Negrita as its Mexican distribution partner for Stoli Group and Amber Beverage. Mexico City-based Bodegas La Negrita has a portfolio devoted exclusively to third-party brands, with a focus on developing premium wine and spirits labels. The deal with SPI will see La Negrita add Stoli brands like the flagship vodka and Cenote and Villa One Tequilas to its range, as well as brands from Amber Beverage, whose lineup includes Moskovskaya Vodka, Kah Tequila, Riga Black Balsam, and Rooster Rojo Tequila among others.
