•Hood River, Oregon’s Kyla Hard Kombucha has named Morgan Robbat as president, reporting to the brand’s board of directors. Robbat joins Kyla from Hotaling & Co. where she served as CMO. Her tenure begins following the company’s recent refresh, including the launch of its Sunbreak Series, which introduced new flavors and a new look for the brand. The current lineup comes in at 6.5% abv and features Sunset Trio (passion fruit, orange, and guava), Pineapple Ginger Colada, Coconut Crush, and Lavender Lemonade. Kyla Hard Kombucha is fully owned by Full Sail Brewing.
•Purcellville, Virginia-based Catoctin Creek Distilling Co. is releasing a new whisky expression created in partnership with metal band GWAR. Launching in February 2021, Catoctin Creek Ragnarök Rye pays homage to GWAR’s elaborate monster costumes and mythos, and is bottled at 46% abv and aged in charred new white oak barrels followed by sugar maple and cherrywood.
